Felicia Cross currently serves as Community Outreach Manager for the Seattle Police Department, a position she has held for 8 years helping to elevate the voices of underprivileged and underserved citizens throughout the city of Seattle. She is tasked with advocating for accountability of the Seattle Police Department as outlined by the Federal Consent Decree of the City of Seattle. Prior to working for the Commission, she worked as the Community Outreach Program Manager for the Seattle Police Department, where she was instrumental in managing 10 different demographic community advisor councils. She was also successful in implementing a new approach to the Community Police Academy, which provides education and training to the community about law enforcement policies and procedures. And other valuable community centered programs. As a leader within the community, Felicia blends her expertise in managing large-scale programs, law enforcement policies and procedures, advocacy, as well as community connections and network to drive meaningful change. She is an internationally recognized subject matter expert on the topic of Community Policing and Community Engagement, and a Subject Matter Expert for the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP and the Collaborative Reform Initiative for Technical Assistance Center (CRI-TECH). Felicia serves is an active member of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE), a graduate of FBI Citizen Academy, a University District Rotarian and an advisory council member for Seattle University Criminal Justice Advisory Council. She also serves as a community liaison for the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.
