Michelle Gundy

Michelle is a researcher, consultant, veteran, and SME in the fields of communication, trauma, and policing (both civilian and officer trauma). She has 20 years of professional experience in leadership and communications, and she is a doctor of education in organizational change and leadership with graduate and undergraduate degrees in communications. She was appointed to Las Vegas Metro PD’s Citizen Oversight Board, and is a member of the American Society for Evidence Based Policing, the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals, and the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation.

Michelle is passionate about criminal and social justice reform, including officer wellness and mental health. She has deep knowledge of the emotional, physical, neurobiological, and physiological effects of trauma and how it relates to the field of policing, and she enjoys educating officers and departments on what trauma means to law enforcement. As a consultant, she helps public, private, and nonprofit organizations, as well as law enforcement agencies, with strategic and tactical communications, change management, leadership, training implementation, organizational effectiveness, and gap analyses. She assists organizations in diagnosing and solving complex issues while transforming company culture.  In her free time, Michelle is an animal lover who fosters and rehabilitates dogs and kittens. She is also an avid yogi and wannabe athlete.
